“The more you know, the better you are, and the more power you have to take control of your health. This class definitely made me feel more powerful and more in control of my situation.”

Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® Training Program

Our Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® Training Program focuses on fibromyalgia knowledge and includes instructional lectures combined with one-on-one coaching to improve your own fibromyalgia symptoms.

This two-part training is perfect for those who want to improve their own fibromyalgia symptoms while educating themselves on the treatment and management of fibromyalgia. On average, our Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® students improve their Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR) scores by nearly 50%.*

Students who are ideal for this program want to find new ways to feel better while also learning how to help others in their community. They are healthcare providers, support group leaders, and fibromyalgia patients who want to be able to help others.

Part 1 of the Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® Training Program consists of three months of weekly lectures and group coaching with Tami Stackelhouse on fibromyalgia-specific topics such as:

  • Current fibromyalgia science
  • Medications and treatment plans
  • Natural alternatives for fibromyalgia medications
  • Complementary and integrative therapies
  • Pacing and energy management
  • Fibromyalgia-specific nutrition and exercise plans
  • Improving symptoms, such as pain, brain fog, fatigue, and sleep
  • How to add more joy to your life
  • Self-care and coping techniques
  • Building a fibromyalgia Flare Survival Kit

Part 2 of the Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® Training Program involves working with your own Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® in one-on-one sessions. Your tuition includes 18 private sessions to be held over six months.

Students can expect to spend a minimum of three to five hours per week on classwork, consisting of: 90 minutes of class lectures (via Zoom), one hour with your coach, plus regular reading assignments and homework.

Whether you want to build your own Fibromyalgia Coaching business, learn more about fibromyalgia for your existing profession, or learn skills to improve your own fibromyalgia symptoms, our certification program will help you meet your goals.

Certificate completion requires completion of weekly one-on-one calls with your Coach, class lectures and assignments, and completion of a final exam and interview with a passing grade.

This training program has done so much for so many women. I'm so thankful that Tami decided to create this opportunity for other women. Thank you. You helped me change my life.

Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® Training Program

For students who plan to work with other fibromyalgia patients, we recommend our full 15-month Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® Training Program.

Students who are ideal for this program are looking to build a business coaching fibromyalgia patients, or working with them as a health care or wellness provider.

Our full 15-month program begins with the Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® training (above) and continues with an additional year of live and recorded instruction and study, as well as a "earn while you learn" internship to gain coaching experience working directly with fibromyalgia clients with oversight from our instructors.

Once students move from the Advisor training to the Coach class, they can expect to spend a minimum of two to three hours per week on classwork, consisting of: two hours of live classes (via Zoom), as well as additional recorded lectures, reading, and homework as assigned. Internship coaching hours will be in addition to this and scheduled with each student according to their own schedule. Internship coaching is both paid and unpaid.

Course material expands upon the fibromyalgia instruction in our Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® course. It also includes expert presentations on business-building and coaching-specific topics, such as:

  • Gentle goal-setting and action planning
  • Strategies for working with fibromyalgia patients as a coach or provider
  • Creating an energetically sustainable business as an entrepreneur
  • Relationship building for clients and providers
  • Connecting with your Ideal Client
  • Sales and marketing for coaches
  • Financial and legal best practices
  • Building a business that supports your healing

Certificate completion requires full participation in weekly live classes, completion of recorded classes and reading assignments, and completion of a final exam and interview with a passing grade. It also requires that students complete a minimum of 100 hours of fibromyalgia-specific coaching.

I SOMETIMES LISTENED TO CLASS WHILE I WAS EATING DINNER IN MY PAJAMAS, SITTING IN A PARKING LOT, OR DRIVING MY CAR. THE RECORDINGS ALSO HELPED WHEN I HAD BRAIN FOG OR FAMILY ACTIVITIES. YOU REALLY MADE THIS PROGRAM DO-ABLE FOR FIBRO WARRIORS. MOST OF THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE COMPLETED AT YOUR OWN PACE — AND WE HAD SUCH A SUPPORTIVE GROUP OF CLASSMATES!

  • First tuition payment due when enrolling
  • Second payment due 30 days after enrolling
  • Third payment due 60 days after enrolling
  • And so on

Students who fail to meet the payment deadlines in their payment plan are restricted from participating in the program until all outstanding financial obligations to the Institute are met.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

While IFCI does not issue refunds, we do recognize that our students are living with fibromyalgia.

Students accepted into the training programs show a clear commitment to completing their training and certification. As we place our full faith in your success as a student, we leave no space for you to quit on yourself or your dreams! Our no refund policy is a clear way of saying right from the start that neither of us are willing to accept failure as an option.

At the same time, fibromyalgia bodies don't always operate on a strict schedule! This is why build-in "catch up weeks" in our class curriculum. In addition, if fibromyalgia or other life circumstances interfere with you completing the course, you may request a leave of absence. Requests are not guaranteed to be granted, are reviewed on a case by case basis, and reinstatement fees may apply.

The difference between the podcast and the class, is that the podcast is the theory... in the end, if I just sit there and listen but don't do anything, it's not changing anything. In the class I can't just listen. I have to actually work on something.
