This usage policy applies to students, graduates, certified coaches, and certified advisors.
The first guideline is to be above reproach with your use of materials offered by Tami Stackelhouse and the International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute, LLC (IFCI).
Be transparent and authentic to ensure that it is clear to others that you are an independent Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®. While you do represent IFCI by being an alumni, it should be clear that you are not an employee of, nor do you legally represent, Tami Stackelhouse or IFCI.
Use integrity at all times in your use of IFCI’s materials, name, photo and logo. Do not violate any copyright laws. If you are in doubt, hire an editor, consult a lawyer, and/or do your own research. You can find information on US copyright laws at www.copyright.gov. If you have any questions about how you may use IFCI materials, contact Tami directly.
The terms "Certified Fibromyalgia Coach", "Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor", and "Fibromyalgia Podcast" are all registered trademarks of IFCI. All IFCI logos and certification seals are service marks of IFCI.
How to Properly Give Credit for the Work
- Anytime you use the term "Certified Fibromyalgia Coach", you must use the registered mark (®), say that the term is a registered trademark of International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute, LLC., and that you have permission to use it. For example, you would say "Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®" and the copyright notice should say:

- If you are quoting a small passage of Tami’s work (a paragraph or less), use quotation marks and attribute the quote to Tami Stackelhouse. Make sure you are quoting verbatim and that grammar and spelling are correct. If the quote is from one of Tami’s books, include the book title in the attribution.
- You may not use large portions (more than a paragraph) of Tami’s work. Instead, make it your own by distilling it down and wording it in your own style. Be sure to give credit to Tami and IFCI for introducing you to the concepts. NOTE: Your people need to hear your words. Don't lean too heavily upon any author (including Tami) in an attempt to create authority. You are the authority for your people.
- You can use any worksheets and tools available in the IFCI Alumni Portal with this credit: “Copyright International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute, LLC. Reprinted with permission.” These may be printed on your own letterhead as long as the above attribution is included. Please use the worksheet or tool exactly as created. If you've adapted a worksheet, please make that clear and give credit at the bottom by saying "Adapted from the work of Tami Stackelhouse, International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute, LLC.”

Using Your Certification Seal
- The Certified Coach seal may only be used by a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, and can be used in any and all of their marketing or other materials.
- Anytime you use your certification seal, you must say that the logo is a service mark of International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute, LLC., and that you have permission to use it. For example, the copyright notice should say:

- The seal may only be used in full color or as black and white. You may not alter the colors of the logo. (HEX codes for colors are #A34259 deep magenta and #6F8247 green.)
- When using the seal, make sure that the ribbon and service mark (℠) symbol are not cut off in any way.
- Uncertified coaches, advisors, and students may not use any seal.
Your Title
- Certified Coaches may call themselves a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, making sure to use the registered mark.
- To make it clear that you are not an employee of IFCI, calling yourself an Independent Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® may be helpful.
